“Do not stand idly by your neighbor’s blood.” (Leviticus 19:16)
January is National Blood Donor Month. It is a recognition to all
who have pulled up their sleeves in the past to give the gift of life. As a nurse who
worked in the hospital for the past 42 years in a Neonatal ICU, I can attest to the
hope that blood brings to a critical infant or child’s family.
Remember, the life you save may be your own.
