Ephesians 5:18: “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery”
January is here! It is time to consider joining the public health campaign called Dry January. Dry January is an awareness where people stop drinking for the entire month in order to reset and become more aware of their drinking habits and manage their alcohol consumption. The goal is not to have participants give up alcohol for life, but to take control of their alcohol intake. 4% of participants stopped drinking altogether at the end of the month.
Participating in Dry January will make you healthier by sleeping better, lowering your heart and liver disease risk, boosting your mood, and improving your brain health. So take a break from all that holiday excessive food and alcohol, and get a new perspective on your alcohol habits.
Peace,
Nurse Barb
